You are an average middle-aged white male recovering from a recent divorce. You live in a tiny one-bedroom home with water stains on the ceiling from a solid decade of poor roof repair. The house wasn't around in the seventies yet, but all the same the decor reflects the aesthetics of that particular period. Well, what little decor is left, anyhow. The only reason you still live there is because your ex-wife had no interest in keeping the place, and you're too apathetic to find somewhere else.

You don't have many possessions. You have a folding metal chair and a black and white television. You found both in somebody's trash. You use the television exclusively to watch late night TV, because that's really the only time you're awake. Maybe it's the hangover, and maybe it's just been a long time, but you can't remember the last time you did laundry. Your socks are all black on the bottom, because you haven't swept the linoleum in the kitchen lately, nor have you vacuumed the shag carpet in the living room. You tried just going without socks for a while, but you cut your heels on all the broken bottles.
